From J.D. Salinger’s Franny and Zooey (1961).
“I’m so horribly conditioned to accept everybody else’s values, and just because I like applause and people to rave about me. I’m ashamed of it. I’m sick of it. I’m sick of not having the courage to be an absolute nobody. I’m sick of myself and everybody else that wants to make some kind of splash.”
Due to a variety of reasons—not the least of which is that I’ve encountered the above quote through my readings—I have decided to take down my blog. It may reappear someday. But for now, I am seriously going to try not to make a splash online.
Thanks for stopping by the blog.
Peace and stuff,
